Rogue Army Garrison

Soldiers who shot their officers and now run their base on their own terms, sitting on the county's best military hardware.

Who they are

The Rogue Army Garrison is what is left of the Army Rangers and National Guard unit stationed near Urban. When the chain of command broke down, the soldiers shot their high-ranking officers and took the base for themselves, and they now run it on their own terms. They frame themselves as the only force keeping the area safe from nomads, criminals, cultists and the undead, and they hold an invaluable cache of Army supplies that makes them the county's source of serious firepower. On the Steam store this bloc is labelled as the National Guard.

Backing the army

Allying with the garrison is the hardware play. It grants access to top military-grade weapons and equipment drawn from the Army cache, along with army blueprints. Their representative, Sgt. Kowalski, settles near Urban Shelter and converts an old office into an army hospital fitted with surgery tables, a meaningful upgrade when infection and injury are constant threats. The rarest blueprints are held by the faction's boss rather than handed out freely. Committing four ally votes to the garrison turns the cult and the bikers hostile, so the best gear in the game comes with two standing enemies.

Combat and companions

As a disciplined military faction, the garrison is a dangerous group to cross, and its loyalties run to firepower and order rather than to any survivor's cause. The recruitable survivor most closely linked to the army is Benny Ramm, found at Old Port, a soldier who fits naturally into a defensive firing line. Because faction standing shapes who joins you, keeping the garrison friendly is the surest way to bring military-minded survivors into your militia and to keep the Army cache open to you.
