Urban Strife Factions
Three factions carve up the county in Urban Strife, and you can only stand with one of them. The Cult of Second Chance, the Shady Lady Bikers and the Rogue Army Garrison each control resources your shelter needs, and each hates the other two, so committing to an alliance turns the rivals into enemies. Below is the full faction list, what each bloc gives you and where your own base, Urban Shelter, fits in.
The three factions you can ally with
Each of the three major factions is a bloc of local gangs. You collect ally-or-war votes from them; reaching four ally votes with one bloc locks you in and turns the other two hostile (kill-on-sight). Backing a bloc unlocks its blueprints, a dedicated shelter upgrade room, a resident representative and a unique story route.

Cult of Second Chance
A forest-dwelling doomsday cult that worships the zombie plague as a divine gift and treats the undead as children of God.

Shady Lady Bikers
The local outlaw biker charter, running the wartime economy of booze, weapons, drugs and the black market out of a 24/7 club.

Rogue Army Garrison
Soldiers who shot their officers and now run their base on their own terms, sitting on the county's best military hardware.
How choosing a faction works
Each bloc is not a single gang but a coalition of smaller groups scattered across the maps. As you complete quests and side with those groups in disputes, you earn ally-or-war votes toward the parent faction. Reaching four ally votes with one bloc commits your shelter to it and flips the other two to kill-on-sight, so there is no way to keep all three friendly through to the end of the campaign.
The reward for committing is substantial. Your chosen faction sends a representative to live at Urban Shelter, converts a spare room into a faction-specific upgrade, unlocks a set of blueprints you cannot craft otherwise, and opens a story route tied to that group. The cult brings a prayer room and hydroponics, the bikers bring a moonshine bar and a black-market trader, and the army brings a surgery-equipped hospital and military hardware. Because faction standing also gates certain recruits, the bloc you back shapes not just your gear but who is willing to join your militia.
The practical takeaway is to decide early. Spreading favours across all three wastes effort, since only one alliance can ever lock in. Read each dossier, weigh the upgrade and the recruits you care about against the two enemies you will make, and steer your quest choices toward a single bloc well before the final chapter.
Your own faction: Urban Shelter
The community of survivors that rescued you, and the base you must rebuild, defend and never let fall. Urban Shelter is not one of the three warring blocs; it is the community that rescued you and the base you must keep standing. Every alliance decision is ultimately about making the shelter strong enough to survive the Atlanta Horde, so it is worth understanding your home base before you pledge to anyone else.
